As has been stated with 400 already and a 200 shot I doubt the 5R will hold up for very long. Give SD a call and talk to him about the new PA built 5R and see if he thinks it will hold that power. The biggest thing is the torque hit with the 200 shot, that is very hard on the trans.ok well another off topic issue.....

Let's see... for me at 700 rwhp - 3 4r70 failures. Now, at 1000 rwhp with a TH400 - 0 failures and still going. OP - spray the 200 and you are going to lose more than just the POS 5r55... period. I don't care how you control the shot, window the shot, or step the shot - the simple truth is the 5r55 is a basic street car everyday trans. If you want to have a race car, get a race trans...period. Trying to magically rework and rebuild it into something it's not is a waste of time and money IMO.
Every single shop that talks about their built 5r55's and how great they are - just keep reading their posts and threads and you will see something in there along the lines of...
"couldn't make the last pass cause the trans started to go..."
Then you'll see something like...
"but we have over 100 passes on this stock trans..."
The 5r55 is a STREET TRANS and no matter what you do to it, if you use it for RACE applications, it is going to break - just know that going into it.
