You should check Buckman's or Rygen's threads... they just swapped in 5.4L engines to replace their 4.0 V6s.

Seriosuly, if you want a V8, your best bet is to trade your V6 in for one. Unless you want a 5.4 But if you want a 4.6 trade it in for one.
I agree.. you'll spend less in the long run IMO. Once you swap in the 4.6L, you'll need a bunch of other stuff no doubt (PCM, exhaust, maybe trans(?), etc.). And with a GT you'll get bigger front brakes and an 8.8 rear, too.

It also depends on what mods are already done to the car. If you have already upgraded the suspension including an 8.8 rear end, and installed aftermarket body parts you would be better off doing a swap instead of trading the car in. This will save you from having to either swap all your parts or buying new ones if you have gotten rid of all your stock parts.

I speak from experience with just completing a swap but I also blew my 4.0 motor with dual power adders.

Chris it will be up and running in a few more days. Atco is not going to happen this year, work is getting in the way but I'll be at Columbus the end of August.

I agree especially since you are in California. If you do the swap you will then have to take it to a Smog Referee and have them approve it and you will have to then go to them every two years from here on out for your Smog Check.

+1. you could sell your car and buy a modded GT off a forum or off evil bay for what you would spend on a swap. i saw someone letting a TT 06 go for about 23 large...
