I did something different with mine.

I did basically the same on my Cobra. Just enough to throw some color in.

I like stripes to a certain degree...they have to go with the car. I've seen some shitty stripes on mustangs but my car is perf. white with dark blue stripes. There's just something classic about that.

i'm a fan of stripes, but not the ones ford puts on there. i prefer them to be nice and wide. this was my car before i changed the hood. two 14" stripes w/ a 1" gap. pretty hard to see at a glance, but they were dark metalic blue and would shine nicely at night when lights hit them.

We've been changing up the look of our GT. It's usually littered with various class letters, numbers, event stickers and small sponsor stickers, but for the SCCA Solo National Championships we drew up a modified version of the 500R stripe, cut it in vinyl and applied it. All done in-house.

We'll see how long it stays on the car after Nationals. I'm guessing at least six months. Terry's wife loves it.

I vote no on stripes on a GT. There are too many new edge V6 cars running around with vinyl stripes and stick on hood scoops. That's why I got my car stripe and scoop delete! Would have gotten spoiler delete but that's the one thing my wife wanted, lol.

No to the stripes. They belong on Shelby's (new and old) but now they're everywhere. Practically every V6 Mustang in my area is wrapped in them (to the point that I almost assume any Mustang I see w/stripes is a 6) and a growing number of pickup trucks, compacts, etc are sporting them. Just yesterday I saw a MINIVAN with the front fender hash strips that seem to be popular lately. :roflmao:

I used to love them and put them one of my Mustangs, but that was 20+ years ago. Now IMO, they've gone over to whatever the domestic version of "rice" is. Sadly, for me they've become the big wing or fart can of the Mustang world.
