A friend of mine installed H&R supersports, Tokico adjustables, BMR panhard bar, and camber bolts on his otheriwse stock 05 GT. Now he is getting a Clunk noise when he hits sizable/larger bumps. I have not seen the car or experienced it myself, so I cant put my .02 in. He said he thinks its coming from the sway bars? He says everything is tight. Any ideas where to begin looking? Thanks

maybe the top strut nut? i got the clunk over speed bumps because i forgot to check the strut nut after i put the car back on the ground. i didnt tighten them enough when i origionally put the springs on the strut and strut mount.

Check the nut that links the front swaybar link to the strut. Sounded like the struts were gonna pop and shoot through the hood. I didn't tighten mine enough, needs to be 85lbft.

I dont think the rear bump stops will be making a clunk. My money is on the front swaybar links or the upper strut mounts that he reused that are garabage in the first place.

+1 for sway bar endlinks on the the struts. 9 times outa 10 you dont get the endlinks tight enough after a strut swap and you get the clunk on bumps. You have to hold the bolt in place while you tighten the shit out of it.

Yup, found this out myself when I put my Ultralights on along with Koni STR.T struts and shocks. I thought I had tightened it down pretty good, my TQ wrench was out for calibration, but about two weeks after I was driving the car, I started getting the clunk. Went back through the whole setup torquing everything to specs and sure enough, the end-links were about 25ft/lbs off. After torquing them down, haven't had a problem since.
