I recently purchased a 2011 gt with the brembo break package. I am interested in lowering the car to eliminate the terrible wheel gap. i plan on using either the steeda ultralight springs or the ford racing k springs. what else is necessarily to maintain proper alignment and ride quality with these springs?

I went with some Caster Camber plates, Koni Yellows and a Fays2 Watts link. The car handles like a champ now. If you don't want to spend the dough on a Watts link you should at least get an adjustable Panhard bar to correct your rear end after the drop.

I wouldn't do the springs until I had the dampers also. No sense doing the same job twice. I also would recommend camber plates but there are many people that use camber bolts and have no problems. Its a controversial subject. APH bar and sway bars are good but they can be added later without tearing apart the strut assembly again if you don't have the money now.

I recommend the Koni Sports right now, especially since they are on sale for 20% off.

I like both Koni and Tokico, and we have had excellent luck with each. I prefer the Koni's personally.

I have BMR springs, and panhard bar, and Tokico D-Specs. Depending on where you have the shocks set at it rides just like stock and looks great. I had it aligned without camber bolts or plates at my Ford dealer.

Just swapped in a set of Koni's for a customer. Well worth the money he said. I know they are on the older cars.
