The path from san antonio to houston doesn't have e85, wtf. This sucks.

Shoot, thats only a couple hours man. Fill up there, put an emergency 5 gallon can in the trunk. That ought to make it to the Kroger on Fry Rd off I-10. They have E85 there. From there, you ought to have more than a few options around town.
