2008-11-22 Saturday Open Test & Tune Canceled
Due to the cold temperatures forecast for this weekend, we are forced to cancel the Test & Tune scheduled this Saturday, November 22.
We wish all of our racers and fans a happy Thanksgiving and holiday season this year. We look forward to seeing everyone again in 2009 at the O'Reilly Auto Parts Autorama, February 13-15, 2009.



All you racers in other states... does this happen?

Wow, since when is 58 degrees cold? I would say thats about perfect. Were there going to be some really fast cars there? Like 7's and 8's? You would want a warmer track for better traction.

It's not tomorrow's temperatures that are the problem. It is the overnight lows and the damn wind. Once the ground sees near freezing temperatures the concrete won't pick any heat tomorrow even in direct sunlight like an asphalt track will do.

Plus....tomorrow won't be pleasant out on that damned prairie.

hey us-1.. talked to you a FFW at ennis. yeah.. I guess the overnight lows are to cold.. so I guess that is it until Feb or March for 1/4 mile? Is baytown open all year?

They close two weeks before Christmas and re-open the second weekend in January. Otherwise.....open for business. Should have some decent air this weekend but the damn wind is going to be a bitch.

that is good to know 2k05gt... I live in Dallas/Ft Worth but wife has pending job offer in DC. Might be running up that way in the future.
