But Shelby was involved in the GT500 program right up until 2012 when he died.
Licensing a name is a lot different than the product being designed and conceived by the guy with the name.
I never said you were...ok. Wasn't trying to "teach" you anything.
LOL, I was in the military, we kinda speak in bullet form..Sorry I kinda thought you were being "sassy". LOL!!
The entire outside of the car looks horrid to me. But heck, it's advertised with..'electric windows' and also 'air conditioning'. The silver colour is all wrong..and even the wheels look bulked up. The back end is beyond horrid...sorta looks like the back end of a city buss.

Not here in Florida. The sun destroys interiors fast enough without it. The '67 and '69 Mustangs both had full fastbacks and looked awesome with them.Glass roof is infinitely better than the aesthetics of that car.

Sometimes a photograph doesn't quite capture the image as it really appears. The side profile provided in the Mecum link seems to amplify and exaggerate the heavy appearance. Many pics of the same car taken from a different perspective seem to show a slimmer more refined design.I always liked the front of those but in profile the back half looks just too heavy. I appreciate trying to take the roofline to the edge of the trunk lid but it just makes the back of the car seem so much bigger than it needs to be.
I like the full fastback roof though. I heard Ford designers wanted the 2010 refresh to have it but Ford said no because of the glass roof option that nobody bought.

These pics seem to capture a slimmer presence.

Although I wouldn't pay the money these cars apparently command, I think they look pretty nice.
Copied/pasted from Motortrend July 3, 2019...I don't think you understand, it could never say Iacocca without permission...So yes in a way his hands (family that owns the name) must have had input
They sure as hell are not deep dish.Just noticed that those wheels look just like Dodge wheels.
