well after getting a piston at the end of last season I have some parts on the way for a new build. Looks like it will consist of these components:
stock 3v block .020 over
stock crank
clevite p main and rod bearings
arp balancer bolt
modmax ace h beam rods with arp hardware
diamond flat top pistons with a single exh valve relief
frpp main bolt kit
frpp head change kit
stock ported heads -doing myself
tfs crank gears
tfs 15410-24 drop in valve springs
comp 127500 cams
coyote 32 lb injectors
bbr lockouts
long term goal is a nitrous outlet fogger spraying 300 on a progressive!

I will post pics when all the stuff gets here and disassembly/assembly happens. Car already has kooks headers, frpp mani/tb, 3700 rpm circle d stall, hardeded input shaft, and 3.73's...Im sure im forgetting stuff. its a full bolt on car. I'd like to thank BruceH for being a big help with all the noob ?'s I've flooded him with and 06saleen for the hook up on the cams/lockouts.

I'd recommend ARP head studs with that compression and nitrous hit. That's a lot of cylinder pressure. I'm a big supporter of the factory TTY head bolts, but in certain cases (like yours), I'd probably go ARP.

Thanks. I def. understand the logic but have to ask, has anyone lifted a head due to head bolt stretch on factory tty hardware?

Yes. I've personally replaced head gaskets on a couple modulars that had lifted a head. They were high boost/higher hp motors, and it's not super common, but it does happen.

Good luck with your build. I am in the middle of an engine build with Ace Rods as well. I haven't seen many people this forum run them.

Nice build. Glad to see someone else wanting to spray the shizz out of a modular ;)
I plan to forge my coyote next winter and spray it like this too
Can't wait to see your results with the 3V

thanks, those coyotes love gas too. I have a friend that has a stock engine one with a 200 shot fogger on it and he has been 6.73 @ 104

I'm not seeing anything about compression ratio you're hoping to achieve.
What are you looking at?

I'm just starting to do a build very similar, but only 150 shot of gas :)
How do you think the 5r55s is going To hold up?
And are these a off the shelf piston?
And does anybody know what the max safe compression you can run n/a on 91 octane is?

Also going to pick up the tfs adj lower gears since im locking out the cams full advance due to my valve spring choice. Hope to retard them 4-6* in hopes of a powerband that will work well with my frpp mani to 7k plus rpm

Nice man. Lot of the same parts I'm using. Glad someone else is throwing a lot of spray on a 3V.
