It's Mike, the owner of the shop down the road from my house that did my trans.

Nope different Guy, I know there's a close to 1000whp trans am that's turbo. He has a vette also that is going to be nasty. But he don't bring TA out often.

Just Another 700whp DD 5.0

I'd imagine that you will see all of what's what in this area at the NIM show... That I won't be at because of the Army. :(

I take it you're gonna switch to a return style fuel setup as well?

Eventually, as of right now plans are to bring it to 750-800 and live all day everyday in a safe environment. lol

BUT, the fuel system will get an overhaul when funds agree with me to reach for the 1000 mark.

sounds like a bandaid. I wouldn't let my motor go to chance with a bap. Too many spikes with fuel pressure when you get on and off the throttle with those and returnless setups.

LOL. Sounds like you think a whole new fuel system is cheap.

I don't know if you're tracking, but this new engine is costing a pretty penny and drained my cocaine drug dealer savings account. LOL. So, unless you wanna buy me a new fuel setup... I'm gonna stay safe and not push anything.

I'm well aware of what all of this costs, as someone who is going through the exact same thing you are about to undertake with receipts totaling up to large amounts, $1800 for a return style setup is just an area I personally would not skimp out on.

Never said Im skimping, just not happening right away. And my current fuel setup is more than enough for the 700 range. All in due time man, all in due time. :)

It might be enough, but it's not ideal.

He's going to be on 93. Id1000's, bap will be fine. If he was doing e85 he would have some issues.

I'm not a fan of sending "just enough" fuel to the line. I'd rather have the line fully pressurized and returning back what you don't need to the tank.

There is a reason why most people convert fuel system types past 700hp.

Seer is right! A BAP and stock pump is not Ideal and a band aid for 700+ hp. It is not reliable and is a sure way to ruin that built block quick! Also you are going to need to spin that paxton in the 15-16psi range now with the 9:5:1 motor to even grt to that number!

I know I know. Let me get the money tree to grow a few more branches and I'll upgrade, but for now, unless seer wants to buy it for me..... Gonna stick with what I have.

I haven't read the entire conversation - so I'll just throw this out there, it was a quote from a shop owner I have high regard

"why is there never enough money to do it right the first time, but always enough to do it a second time"

just be mindful of the limitations of the parts you chose Gizmo

I have yet to cheap out on anything yet, and I've done it right so far. So, I will look into getting the fuel delivery fixed. Go big or fuck you right? lol.

Well, I was gonna try and swing some LTs while we did the transplant, but that money might be better spent on a fuel system. :)

On 93 he would have more then enough. But ya a bad pump can happen. As said if he went E85 he would have issues. Plnety people in the 700whp range with no return style on 93 with no issues. But also they still have stock compression so don't need as much boost as him since he will be 9.5:1 now. But we was already talking about him getting fuel system while doing the engine. That way he don't have to detune it or run less boost.

Terry was on E85 when he made 1000whp. And from what I was told by Lund I would need a fuel system now if I went E85 even for over 650.
