As others said just switch to the 8.8. Much better axle then the 7.5

Beefier and can withstand more, plus for the price of install and parts for your 7.5 you can buy an 8.8! I bought an 8.8 for $500 when I had my v6 and never installed it. Sold it for $500 a few months later. And the one I bought was from a gt500 but its the same as a gt just different gear ratio.

How complicated is the rear end swap? I'd be afraid to FMSU

havnt done it myself, but i cant imagine a rear end swap being much more difficult than suspension swap combined with minor DS/brake work, just undoing a bunch of bolts then rebolting it up
