I plan on going over 600rwhp this winter... I was looking at a livernois stroker kit with 9.1:1 compression... what forged internal kit did you use... or what do you recommend? i want a reliable 650rwhp by springtime.

I know i have to upgrade the transmission as well.. probobly going with a superstreetfighter or a 4r70w.

I'm sorry, but I have to ask. Do you really know what you want out of this car?

have Michael at L&M Motors build you a motor and put it in. He's in Hatboro PA, probably 90-95 miles from you max. He'll set up up right.

There are many ways to skin this cat. Choose your compression ratio based on where you want to end up, whether it be naturally aspirated or forced induction. I went with a 9.0:1 CR, standard stroke, standard bore... because I knew I wanted to end up in the 10s and that's it. No need to stroke or bore out the engine if that's your goal.

I wouldn't give up any compression. In fact I might even bump it slightly. Compression will give you throttle response. I believe more initial compression with less boost is better. I base this on conversations with 2 guys running really serious cars. One a twin turbo 302 based car (remember racing Jason Bertwarda? His friend that ran his engine shortly after Jason died told me this at a race), the second twin turbo 530+ cube big block. I've also read several sources that seem to confirm this line of thought.

Do we ever really know that answer ? LOL

Definitely not. I meant the statement pointed more at the fact that he changes his mind every day on what he wants to do with the car. One day he wants to sell it, another he wants to make it faster. He should sit down and quit going all ADD on it and just build the damn thing.

no. believe me he doesnt. he does follow through though lol.

That's one good thing about him. lol It just seems he has more money than sense at times.

No offense meant, OP. I just think you should sit down and get everything planned out and then go from there.

He's right. Make a plan, and stick to it.

Question #1: how fast do you want it to be? (notice I didn't ask how much power you want it to make)

Here is a good read on that topic.

a low 11 sec, high ten sec car will make me happy

He's trying to trade the car for a terminator or a termi swapped gt, someone linked to his trade thread on the other thread he made

i'm not TRYING to. I put it up there because everything is for sale for the right price. I doubt im finding what i want so im building this.

None Taken. Everyone tells me to decide what i want. I know what i want, but there are always ideas that strike my interest. I like alot of stuff with mustangs, so i always ask for opinions if people think that is right or wrong. Im 18, idk my head from my ass at this age. Thats why i ask you guys, who know what ur doing from experience, to help me out.

That's exactly where I'm at with my car and I'm probably just under the 600 mark. On top of that my car with me in it has to be close to 4000 lbs so with a lighter driver and a lighter car you should be able to get that kind of timeslip at 500-550rwhp I would guess.

And for the trans, I have the stock 3650 with just an upgraded 26 spline hardened input shaft and the internals of the trans have over 120k miles on them!
