Ok I am wanting 18x9 and 18x10 rims for my stang. But the tire sizes are off so my question is this. Can I fit a 275/40-18 all the way around and still look good...

Why would you want staggered rim widths only to run the same width tire all the way around. Run a 255 or 265 on the front 18x9 and a 295/305 on the rear 18x10.

ok I was buying rims and tires through American muscle. And since the tires they recommend are smaller than the fronts. That's why I was going to run the same size tire. So here is the list of tires size they sell.

255-45-18
25540-18
275-40-18
285-40-18
305-35-18

Good question. I bet he changes his mind every 12 hours and sends texts to somebody asking about their opinion of another set of rims.

Just a random thought. :p

Go with 255/45/18 and 285/40/18 That will keep you tires about 27" all the away around. If you go 275/40/18 then your tire size will be about 26.6".

255/45 and 285/40 keep you close to stock overall diameter. IMO going any smaller than that as far as OD and the fender gap looks horrible. That said, if you're lowered, throw everything I just said out the window. haha

The 275/40 rear is going to be a bit shorter than the front(255/45/18 like .3 inches. Btw a 275/40 is narrow for an 18x10 rear rim. A 305/40 rear would keep around 27" height

i was talking about the 18x10 for the 285-40... the 18x9 was a 255-45

I have 6 rims/tires lol. Street rims/tires and 2 track ones for the rear.

18x9 front 255/45
18x9 rear 285/40 (nitto, fits no problem as wide as i would go on a 9" rim)
18x10 deep dish 305/40 drag radials.(315 would be as wide as i would go on a 10" rim)

All three of these setups are right at 27" tall.

Yes the 285/40 will fit a 9" and 10" but since u have the 10" rear i would go wider as stated in my first post.
