Tires for Vorshlag Forgestar 18x11

[The Question]

Hello,

I am looking for tires that will fit an 18x11 inch wheel. These are the custom 18x11 from Vorshlag and a 315/30 was recommended.

Roll racing, spirited street driving, and the drag strip are places my automatic, 600 RWHP GT will be driven, so I am looking for a (hopefully) street legal drag radial or equivalent that will fit the 18x11 wheel.

I am struggling to find a 315/30; I have been pointed toward Mickey Thompson, but I cannot find that size and I am not knowledgeable enough to know if a 305/30 for example is ok for an 18x11.

Can someone offer some advice or school me on tire sizes?

Hoosier makes a DOT drag radial as do several other tire manufacturers like Nitto.
Tire rack has several listings for 315/30-18's and a 305/30-18 is also suitable for an 11" wheel albeit a little short for most folks.

An 18x11 wheel can be used with tires as "narrow" as 275/35 and 275/40, and at least as wide as 315/30. This is while remaining within T&RA and tire mfr guidelines. Most any size in between should be fine, but check to be sure.

I couldn't find anything in 325/xx, but if there is such a size that might be possible as well.

Nitto NT-05R in a 315-40-18 is 28.03" tall. On a 11" wide rim the overall width
(section width, aka side wall to sidewall) is 12.6" wide... = 320.04mm wide. Nitto does NOT list the actual tread width.

Point here is, although they call it a '315' tire it's actually 320.04 mm wide..when used on a 11" wide rim. 11" is what they used to calculate section width, height etc.

In a Nitto NT-555R, nitto offers both a 305-40-18 ( 308.1 mm wide on a 11" rim)... and a 305-35-18, (316.07 mm wide on a 11" rim).

Add / subtract 5mm to the section width for every +/- .5" the rim width deviates from what the manufacturer used for the... 'measuring rim width'.
