This is more of a technical question, so I think it belongs here. If not, someone please politely let me know and I will move the thread.

So, I bought a set of wheels for my 2008 GT and they do not have pressure sensors in them (my car uses the band-style sensors). I still have the sensors and new bands, but would really prefer to not have to deal with the system at all if possible.

The local Ford dealer (Fremont, CA) says they can't disable the system, but I am not sure if I believe them (since tire pressure monitoring is pretty much required here in California).

Has anyone successfully disabled the system so the sensors are no longer needed? If so, how?

I have not heard of anyone doing it successfully.
For future, this would probably fit better in the wheels and tires tech forum.

I'm building a 315 mhz radio transmitter that will output tpms ok signals to the car's computer.

Hope to be done in 2-3 months.

I may sell them. Highly illegal!

It's been done on my 07 crown vic. Just not sure how. It might of been done by the dealer being it was a police car.

Thanks for the feedback guys and the pointers regarding thread placement. I will look into "Pappy's" suggestion to see if I can trick the system.
