Tr 3650

Hello to all. Please I need a help. Im about to do rebuild of my transmission tr 3650 and now my problem is when I take it out imput shaft and the coutershaft I see on the counter shaft that spiral gear is half sarp teeth and half a little flat so is that how it has to be or it is worn out shaft??? Bdw im from Bosnia and it is hard to get parts so I need to be 100% sure of everything...
