I am looking at having the Boss tuned. Pretty basic bolt ons (Airaid, magnaflow, offroad mid, and AB's).

I know everyone has a different experience with different tuners. I guess my question is has anyone positive experiences with certain tuners on their Boss? Anyone know if certain tuners can bypass the Trackey programming without deleting it from the PCM?

I've heard positive things about AED, Lund, Bama, Lito, etc. just looking for the best option for an EMAIL tune and/or even a decent cost dyno tune (Texas). Thanks for the help

Before I left fort hood I took my 05 to central texas performance. I'm not sure about the boss in particular but I know he did new gt500s on the dyno. Might look them up and talk cost and specifics if you are close to waco temple killeen area.

I have spoken to them. Just a little pricey ($450) for basic bolt ons. If I go the dyno tune route, I will almost certainly hit up HPP Racing in the DFW area.

But I appreciate the heads up on them. I've heard they do solid work

I do not trust very many dyno or speed shops. I personally would not allow some of the ones here in Houston to tune my Boss. I would search these forums as well as others. Many speed shops don't have half as much experience tuning these coyotes as these email tuners do.

Just my 2 cents.

Good to know. I just don't know what email tuners have the most experience with the roadrunner and if any of them can bypass the Trackey tuning already on there from the factory without deleting it...

Why not call and talk to them? After talking to them do a google search for each of your top choices. Make your decision based on research.

I have been doing this for a little bit now. Just looking for input from someone who might have had an experience with his/her Boss being tuned.

Wasnt sure where to put this as there isn't a tuning section.

Moved.

I like to see what people are doing at the track--and it seems KenB/Lund has a pretty good resume based on that.

Is this from personal experience? The roadrunner can be a bit different than the coyote especially with the Trackey programming already installed.

It's actually not much different at all, road runner is really just a lightly factory modded coyote, you tune it the same way you would a GT. You will stop using the track key with a custom tune.

My issue is I don't want to lose the Trackey programming for future use. I can't find anything definitive on this. If I wanted to ever sell it, I'd want to be able to simply unmarry the handheld/tune and put it back to stock and use the Trackey again. Talking with the guys at Bama, it seems they can't do this. Shaun at AED says that he can.
