problems with tuning

kept on getting a few codes:

P2100-throttle actuator control motor circuit open
P2104-throttle actuator control forced idle
P2107-throttle actuator control module processor
P2110-throttle actuator control system forced limited

pulled tb apart to re-clock it and all seemed well. got it going good enough to get it on the dyno. got in reversed about 20 feet and all the codes came back. i'll call edelbrock later or email them to ask about these issues. this kit came off a 2010 and was running just fine at that time.

Check the butterfly in the TB and ensure it quickly snaps back to the closed position after opening it with your finger. I had a similar issue after installing mine and the spring was not clocked correctly.

it does spring back. unless it can get messed up after it's already together. it sprung back quickly as soon as released when we took it out to recheck everything.

another thing is that when the guy first started messing with it both before taking the tb apart and after is the car would just die from just touching the gas. don't think he ever got it to stop doing it completely.

You could have TB adjustment issue, which is not something you can really mess with. My first TB had some issues and when the adjustment procedure from Edelbrock did not work, they sent me another one. Definitely talk with those guys.

I actually got these codes after I got a new tune. When it asks for the original backup, if you don't use the actually original backup, it will make the computer go crazy. I used a previous tune as the backup and my car didn't like it at all. Just my two cents....

the shop said they had seen a couple times when changing from the sct to diablo the sct sometimes wouldn't actually back up the original stock tune. rather, it would just use a generic tune when putting car back to stock.

that said should i be looking to tow it to ford and get them to reflash the ecu with the stock tune. is there any other way besides ford to get the stock tune.

The recalls were on the very early models of them. I'd reach out to Lito and get his opinion. He tuned mine and I think a couple of others as well.

^^^^this

Lito hooked up someone else that had tuner incompatibility issues awhile back. Shoot him a PM.

DUDE you have the throttle position sensor plug, gray with red tab, and the fuel pressure sensor plug, solid gray backwards. .CHeck and see bet you money. don't be surpised if your sensors aint screwed up now cause I did this when i first put my motor in and had to buy a new tps. Mine wouldn't idle, and it throwed the same exact codes you have now.
