That is 5rwhp on a 700hp car, on the average Joe's setup I doubt it would gain 5hp in blow thru setup
5rwhp and 10rwtq are nice gains for just a tb. What did you expect?
Its a supporting mod.
Now is 5rwhp/10rwtq worth the $500 price tag of a shiny frpp tb, not in my book. You can get a frpp manifold for that price and pick up 20-30rwhp.
Is that worth it? Heck yeah imho.
To each thier own.
That's a .714% increase of hp lol
Yup, every setup is different. Its a supporting mod.
Its also depends on the blow-thru power adder style as well. A turbo would obviously benefit more than a centri since full boost is generated much lower in the rpm range.
great info, thanks for chiming inI have a GT500 TB on mine but in hindsight I think it was a wast of money with a blow through setup. Your problems are definitely tune related. Turbos are very hard to tune and the cold start and drivability are the hardest part. Where are your O2 sensors located in relation to the distance from the turbo. The O2's need to be as close to the turbo as you can put them so that they get hot enough for the computer to get understandable readings. When the O2's don't get hot enough the computer dumps more fuel into the engine to try and make more power for hotter temps. I have my car running in open loop until the O2's get hot enough for the readings to be reliable. The MAF transfers and open loop tuning have to really good on a turbo setup.

i still have faith in my tuner, my car has been apart, and together, the turbo resealed, and a stefs oil/air seperator has been added since the initial tune. perhaps none of these made an impact, since the tune, but who knows at this point. i still confidence in my tuner.Definitely sounds like a tune issue. If your tuner didnt get that straight on the dyno the first time I would be looking for another tuner.
I had my car remotely tuned by Lito and it is badass, perfect driveability, no hiccups, stutters or bucking. You should PM him.
all signs point to needing an updated and tweeked drivability tune. WOT poses no issues. ask the pullied trak pack, pullied 08 gt500, and stock 2010 gt500 from a few weeks agoMy car did the exact same thing and it was the tune. I had no drivabilty and it surged and bucked at low rpms. Got it tuned later down the road with my boost and the care had stock drivability and was a different car to drive.

Fwiw, I have a couple of issues with my tune and I called BBR and Bama Tunes today. BBR told me that they won't do an E85 email tune and Bama told me that they don't do email tunes for turbos. I am really thinking that I am going to have to try Lito for the tune on my car.

I agree. Im biased though.5rwhp and 10rwtq are nice gains for just a tb. What did you expect?

But when you can pick up a bbk 62 or gt500 tb for $100-150 in the classifieds.
