Turn off trans function.

I tried searching but I got very little info and what info was there contradicted each other. Question is can auto trans function be shut off using sct? I want to put a man pedal in my car and am trying to avoid buying a new ecu.

I'm in the tail end of the tuning for that exact swap... 5R55S out, 3650 in, same computer. Apparently, all you have to do is have your tuner upload a compatible-year manual transmission strategy tune, and all is, theoretically, golden. I'm having some issues tune-wise, but I think the end of the road is near. My issue is with torque management, apparently transmission-sourced, and if all else fails, my tuner said he would just turn off all the torque management functions.

There shouldn't be too much hassle, and the physical swap is a piece of cake.

I hope its that easy. I guess the best person to ask would be Chris at Tillman speed since he is the one tuning my car. I figured some of those 4r guys had to have swapped from a 5r and may know.
