I went to the track last night to work out my learning curve. D/A was 7800 . I had to get up on the converter for the car to do what I wanted. It was what was needed. That and good wheels and tires. I ran a 11.933,1.620 sixty foot,112 trap speed . Not bad in the Heat and Humidity. I can not wait to see waht this car can do come colder weather. Going to get some stainless break lines to hold the car better on the line also.
Hoosier`s QTP`S hook Very well every time. The Bogarts did leak air near the rim screws, untill I used the grey RTV we use on Diesels. That stuff works. No leaks now.

Not really a new ET just good for the heat and D/A.
Hairspray has some for sale , I went to his house and checked them out. I think he is asking 550.00. I got mine here for a good deal.

I made some changes and it kinda screwed me up. Then D/A here has been like 8800-8900 untill last night it was a nice 7800. The car could breath a little. Thankful I have nitrous up here . Last night was the first 11 something in 3 months. I think I can do 11`s consistantly now though with the converter breaking in nicely. The big and littles also remove about 90 lbs of rotational mass. That is a good thing. I just need to work on keeping the converter up and rolling into the second light, the care does much better.
They looked good. I just could not afford what he wanted for them at the time. Yea they are real nice looking. He has all the lug nuts for them.

Nice 60 ft.!!! I could only manage a 1.87, but I need practice. It is my first car with an auto and a converter like this, I need seat time...What rpm is the converter letting you launch at? Or are you leaving at idle? Grats on the times though. And +1 for good weather, I have a rental all set for October 15th. I hope its like 40 degrees out, lol..

Thanks Steedman, I am not sure of the rpms ,it was just about as high as I could hold it . It happened really fast so that is why I do not know. I need more seat time. I really need to get out tonight again. I pulled some great trees last night which is another thing I have been working on. .042 was my highest reaction time. .003 was the lowest . I guess I can pull a good tree if I set my mind to it. I have just been tring to get a good ET all damn year. I see Shelby`s out here struggling in this air. Most run 13`s.

When I went last time, which was only my second time out with the new TC, I raced in the bracket deal. I was cutting pretty good lights, but brackets werent helping me learn my launch. When I hit the rental in Oct., I am not even going to worry about the lights, just ET. Unless I line next to a Chebby or a Dodge..lol...I will also have a 30 tire come Oct.. I have 305/40's now, and they dont help my gearing. i just bought some 315/30 18's Hoosiers. I have lots of RPM left when I cross the stripe at 115-116..My power band is 5,000 and up with the cams and blower..

Thanks Rench , I work with what I got and can afford. I just need to learn the new setup more. I am getting it a little more every time out.

If you are doing that with 7800 DA, just wait till you race in a normal DA of 1500 or so. 11.50s I think.

If I could only hold at a higher RPM. I am going to try holding with the ebreak and the foot break to get higher up on the converter. This may add to the whole experience for sure. I have been tring just about everything to get it to hold. I just start spinning after 2500-2600 rpms. I was hoping it would hold to the flash.

If at all necessary, we can loosen it up some...
Really do not think that is necessary. I think a little more hold on the line should do it. I am going to try the E/break technique. I bet that will get me close to 3000 rpms on the hold.
