Yeah and I really don't want to run sub 9:1 at all. I think I'll just go with the 2618 flat tops. I doubt I'll drive it as much this year, especially moving over to E85

I don't normally like lowered anything.... but that is a good-looking truck.

Thanks man! It's not too radical with the drop. Just a 2" drop springs and shackles with adjustable drag shocks in the rear

I don't think you will have any issues running a 2618 pistons, you will just have to let the car warm up a bit before driving maybe.

If you want a flat top then I would look at these Wiescos. Too bad your machinist already took the block .020 over because these come in a .010 over and a .030 over. I had the same problem with the cp/saleen pistons, just didn't quite have enough room to make them work. I bet it probably would have worked .010 over though if it was close with the cp/saleens. Anyway, here are the Wiescos. They also come with coated skirts and rings at this price.

If you really wanted to push it you could use these. I have wanted to do a BB with these, but it would be a little higher than 11:1.

Or these Ross pistons that also come with rings and would give stock cr. There are a lot of options for stock cr.

The rest of the pistons don't come with rings though so you have to take that into account. I believe the Modmax Moly Rings are around $120 by themselves.

What did you think if the CP flat tops that I posted? Do you think those would work? I know they are on the high end of the price spectrum though

I don't see why they wouldn't work, but it is just like you stated, they are the top end of the price spectrum.

Ross w/ Rings $699 (9.8:1)
Wiesco w/ Rings $775 (11:1)
CP w/ Rings $912 (11:1)

It is up to you, I believe they are all good pistons. It's a budjet engine right? My thought would be why pay extra for a piston that comes with upgraded wrist pins and the works when you are still using a stock crank?

Well it seems like 11:1 is not going to be very cost efficient since I can't use the wisecos. I guess I will plan on the Ross. I misread the CP pistons and thought they came with rings. That was the only reason I was considering them. I guess this will be Better though since I plan on having a pump gas tune as well. Hell I may try and see what it'll make on pump and then use the E85 if I'm not happy. I'll have the fuel system to make over 700 with E85 anyways.
