good news brother glad it doesn't appear to be anything major
Goodluck RJNo problem! Its a custom grind turbo camawesome car man, sorry I looked in the build thread but couldn't read through that many pages. what cam do you have with the turbo?
Since the head gaskets looked good and no combustion discoloring on the top or bottom of the gaskets, Im thinking of leaving the heads as is. I plan on checking straightness with a straight edge and feeler gauge. Does anyone know the tolerance for MLS gaskets. I want to say it is .002 or .003. Would it be possible for the coolant to get inside the motor from where is was leaking from the water pump and into the timing cover? Just trying to get all my ducks in a row. Also I am going with the ratchet style metal tensioners instead of the plastic crap...
Thank you sir!I believe its .001-.0015" per 4.0" of head surface man.
Just out of the catch can. None out of the exhaust or anything. There was a little bit of coolant in the oil. Only noticeable after draining all the oil out and seeing the residue left over. Anything else to check before putting it back together?Where did you got to see the smoke coming out?
Thank you sir!

I was thinking the timing being a tad off was causing the smoke. Does that seem right?Oh, ok, then maybe that was it.

What else could it be? Thinking the gaskets were leaking? No, that doesn't make sense to me.
