Want to trade 76mmHellion for twin screw

I am in california, and have a 76mm Hellion Kit on my 2005 mustang, it has the upgraded everything, kit is in great shape, but I keep getting hassled by the cops and finally got a smog ref ticket.

I love this turbo, it makes stupid high torq and I love driving it, but I am tired of hiding from the smog police, I wish I wasnt in California.

I am looking to trade it all for a whipple 2.3 or a Kenne Bell 2.6 or something with a CARB #. I will trade the whole kit except the fuel system.

I will be sad to see this go, I LOVE this turbo! I wish we could buy smog immunity.

how much are you asking for the turbo system by it self...im saving for a turbo kit...just dont know how much to save...

Replied to the PMs. I am still a couple weeks from pulling this thing apart, and I really do not know a whole lot about the twin screws, I need to read up and see what will be best for me and make the most power on pump gas, then see who here is offering me the nicest kit for trade!!

But I am excited that there are some people interested, I thought this would be a dead thread. I REALLY dont want to get rid of this turbo, I spent so much time building it up and tuning and driving it and I love every part of it. I hope the twin screw keeps me somewhat happy. It should be fun on the street at least.

and mainly, something I never paid attention to before..... which setups are CARB legal? I know the saleen is.

amazingly enough, I cannot find any pictures of my engine bay!! A million of me building my motor, but none of it back together. I will take some tomorrow if it stops raining.

Thats what I got. Saleen and it will make 17psi. 2.75 upper and 10% lower.

I posted this up thinking I wouldnt get any replies for a while, but I have gotten many haha. I am still a couple weeks out till they mail me my ticket and I make my decision.

I have decided I for sure want to get rid of the turbo and go legal(ish, long tubes are too tempting to pass on hahahaha) but I am still reading up on which blower is best for me, since I have had Saleen, Whipple and Kenne Bell offers... I gotta weigh my choices. I am looking at doing this swap in a few weeks from now, I will keep all who have PMed me informed what I do either way.

Not to complicate any further, but I did read on the Hellion website that the CARB exempt # for the 05-09 Mustang turbo kit is "pending". You may want to find out the status of this---perhaps they are close.
