I have heard and read both ways. Which is better?

I used the klaase all-in-one and followed with the sealant glaze on my wifes car and there are some swirl marks left from the sealant. Is this normal, not buffed enough, or what? Let it dry for 8 hours then wiped off. A microfiber towel didn't touch it had to use a terry cloth. Please help before i put it on my mustang.
8 hours? Is that based on the directions? That is way too long for most. 10 minutes would be more than enough in most cases.
Was the car done indoors or in direct sunlight? If you did it outside in the sun, you are screwed and have a lot of work ahead of you...
