3280#

Running 17# wheels, Tiger Racing C/F hood, Griggs K-member, control arms, etc

Deleted - door glass, tracks, motors, trim, interior carpeting, seats, sealt belts, interior panels, headliner, airbags, radio, speakers, steel bracket supporting radio, rear spoiler.

Remaining - Saleen S/C, hoses, pump, etc, C&R I/C with twin fans, complete A/C.

Car still retains complete dash instrumentation and heater core, fans, etc. Even with keeping complete wiring harness in tact, I'm shooting for 3130# before roll cage.

LOL learn this . remove weight in ounces. Don't look at something and say nope that can weigh but a couple ounces.

reason. ounces make pounds......lol.......

I will gave you another note on this . Don't spend much time removing weight if running American iron. our cars are a brick in the air. They need all the hp you can get.

my new car is 3496 with driver. 367 rwhp that is the magic numer area for a s197 in AI .

My old car was light . 320 rwhp range. it was great on the back part of the tracks I could close right up on the big heavy cars. Then If I could manage to get around them in tricky parts of the track I would then give it right back down the long straights as my car just ran out of ass tring to move through the air.

No and no. Spare tire well is still in tact. I started removing the sound deadening junk with a heat gun when I had an epiphany. "I have reached the point in my life where I will pay someone to do this." Turns out the cage builder removes this when he does the install. Thank you Lord.

I just haven't pulled the trigger on the cage yet as I'm considering all options.

My GT-500 w/KB 3.6LC S/C, full interior and Griggs 4 point roll cage tips the scales at a whopping 3897!! W/o the driver.

Wow, i'll bet that gives your brakes a real workout!

I hope to weigh my car this weekend to get a base point. I'll be real happy if it comes in at under 3600#'s the way it sits right now.
