weird noise when starting car?????

I have an 06 gt.. lately after sitting overnight when i go to start it in the morning i hear a wut i describe as a grinding sound??? its an odd sound n thats all i can figure out how to describe it. any ideas???

The teeth on your starter motor are probably fucked.

the noise is when you are trying to get it to fire or after its running?

right when i crank it up it makes the noise..just started like a week ago. had the car 3months... only does it when car has sat for period of time? ill try n get it video tonight after work...

Mine has a rattle/click when it starts in the morning. I assume it's the phasers, it goes away nearly instantly though, not sure if it's an issue or not.

It may be the separator plate between the motor and trans vibrating. There is a TSB out for this issue.
