Going through an older 5.0 Mustang Magazine and came across an add and went to this site and found this assembled block. What do ya'l think? I might pull the trigger in a month or two if this is quality...looks like it is. http://www.coasthigh.com/product-p/11884-ps-f4.6l-sb.htm Looks like a solid block I could easily run 550 rwhp out of with the whipple and some other mods such as exhaust, injectors, etc.

I have no experience with them, but for the money, i'd be choosing either Livernois or BBR for my engine. If all you plan on running is 500rwhp, then i'd pull the stock engine and put in rods/pistons. The stock crank is good til 650rwhp and stock block is good for over 1000+rwhp. Just seems the rods and pistons are garbage.

I'd rather just get an assembled block and then have a mechanic friend of mine swap the heads and Whipple over to the new block, go for 550 rwhp on the tune with a 14 psi pulley and some LT's, and call it a day.

You could still run that block, others have run
cast blocks, but they do also add some weight.
It would need to have 3V specific slugs.
