What gears with S/C

So I am going to replace the rear differential and thought it would be a good time to do new gears as well. I have a Procharger SC and was unsure if 4.10s would be good or should I do 3.90s? Any help/advise woul dbe welcome.

I have 3.73, and I think 3.90 would be perfect for both performance and DD. Depends on you goals? Good luck

I have 4.10s with the saleen at 10lbs boost. the gears aint bad but you will need some DRs .

I am running a centri blower also, my car has 3.55s stock so if I was to do gears they would definately have to be 4.10s for me.

I have a t/s with way more low end than the procharger...definitely go 4:10s

I would stay stock and put the money into other mods. You will just roast the tires off the car with taller gears. I would stick with 3.55 - 3.73

Running 3.73 right and tires stick really good. I have a hard time getting them to spin when I want to. Think I'll see how they do my first time at the track later this month.

With 4.10s, forget about 1st gear; it goes through it so quick.
373's are a good overall gear for racing and street. But good tires can still break loose fro a stop or slow speeds.
Either way, it will be more fun

Nope. I do too. I could do 3.73s but I just don't want to spend the money to only go up one gear change and I'm not doing 3.90s.

3.90's or 4.10's but you'll need good tires and slicks for the track.

I'd recommend 4.10's. I had 4.30's when n/a, stepped down to 3.73's for my current setup and will probably go to 4.10's down the road. I do have a 6 speed which makes the 1st gear not as short as the stock 5 speed but with the right suspension and some good drag radials you shouldn't have too hard of a timing hooking decently on the street. My car sticks MUCH better in 1st gear on the street now that I have installed an adjustable UCA and set my pinion angle to -2. It doesn't dead hook but it doesn't instantly send the tires up in smoke either.

What size rear tires do you run?

4.10s and a sticky tire

I needed shorter gears than 3:73s and I have a twinscrew

You will definitely want 4:10s with a centri...definitely...you just need tires with them

Regardless, you need sticky tires for any gear you choose

Had a procharger p1sc ho on this vehicle (before going turbo) with 4:10s on stock manual tranny, back then. 1st gear was tricky under boost, but the procharger generally enjoyed the rpms.

Thanks for the advise. I think I'll stay with the gears I have and save the money for future DR's. The car is not a daily driver but I don't want to make it a strictly drag car either. Mostly just going to be running Friday night grudge and mid-week open track nights.
