What have you done to your mustang today?

Yup, that's a fifteen foot paint job for sure. I think a spray can would produce better results.

Yup and it did. Resanded it...g2 created a nice red primer like surface and used vht red caliper paint and looks much better.

Nice, looks much better. You can get replacement decals for cheap on ebay if you need them. I did mine on top of the paint and then did 5 layers of clear.

I just tried g2 stuff on my brembos and did not like the outcome. It left brush stroke marks all over. Spray paint is better IMO.

I used it on the stock rear calipers and it turned out great. Of course they have a textured surface so that would make a big difference.

Same here as I just did my rears with a G2 kit as well. Kind of wish I would have taken the time to finish the perimeter of the rotor as well, but at least the exposed part of the hat will be nice and clean looking.

On the stock steel calipers I'm sure it works well. But on smooth aluminum calipers it's harder to get a nice finish.

Plus I thought it would be less work than a rattle can but spray is the way to go with the brembos.

Do it dude. I was waffling over it too because I didn't want to spend the cash when I already had tunes, but it was definitely worth it. I wish I would have done it sooner.

Some of my favorite things about this tune:

Engine braking is instantaneous
The idle hangs for a second between shifts, so I can shift very smoothly
The car gets violently sideways in second and first, so much so that I startled myself because I wasn't expecting it to do it so fast.

The difference between his tune is like going from stock to tuned, seriously. The car just pulls hard, smooth, and drives beautifully.

This one is just normal driving, to illustrate the smooth shifting.



And this is a WOT run. Still trying to get used to it, so I'm granny shifting a bit.

Thanks for the info. I will be looking into this soon. I just spent a bunch if money on a few additions to the arsenal, so gotta push it back a few weeks.

But really you need to invest a couple hundred in a go pro! Seriously!

I am thinking the latter sorta kinda. It really sounds like I ran it with no oil but when I first got the ticking sound last Wednesday or Thursday that was the first thing I checked. I pulled the dipstick and it was halfway on the dashed part. It does sound a lot like rod knock to me but I have no idea how that could be the case all things considering. I guess it could be an exhaust leak but I checked that when I first got that slight tick thinking it might be an exhaust leak.

I am thinking of changing the oil on it and counting how many quarts came out and cutting the oil filter open to see if there is anything metal in the oil. Either way I'm pretty sure the engine has to come out and if that's the case I might as well add some parts to it while I have it apart.
