Started it for the first time yesterday....check charging system lights up...hmmm yep Aeroforce shows not charging. Said fuck it and gave up for the night, popped the hood this morning, belt is shredded and laying on top of the blower, yep that'll do it! Found one of the idler pullies failed and another has a little movement in it so off to find some replacements.

Started the process to return it to stock. Tuesday started pushing oil out of the driver side valve cover. The scavenger pump dumps the oil in there - my guess is that the pump is screwed up and pushing too much and hard. But after losing 2 engines and now this I decided just take off the turbo and put the car back to stock and call it done.

Maybe in the spring I'll sell it and pick up a 5.0 or an ecoboost and start again. I don't think that this 3.7 handles boost well and the pump failure is just a sign it is time to give it up.

Installed a replacement OEM alternator and new battery terminals. Glad to have the car back on the road again. It was only down for about a week, but that was long enough to drive me insane driving the wife's Kia. That thing is unbelievably boring.

Got it back from the shop and began putting it all back together. It's only taken me a year and a half after a little mishap at the track!

Replaced the battery. It was a NAPA 84 month legend battery that I bought 35 months ago. Wouldn't hold a charge. They tested it and the prorated replacement was $54.

Not sure if I'm happy about that or not. It was better than buying a new battery but an 84 month battery should last longer than 35 months. What I'm getting at is I shouldn't of needed a new battery, but I did, lol.

Good day today. Hit the junkyard and secured some little stuff:
• A/C valve caps (not sure where those could have gone in the first place)
• that little panel in the console that sits behind the e-brake
• extra drive shaft-to-tranny bolts since one backed out on me.

While I was under the car I discovered that the previous owner had installed a steel one piece Dynotech drive shaft, so that's cool.

Went and visited mine at the shop yesterday. Builder talked me into getting FRPP high flow heads and a good set of cams that will work good with the blower instead of spending almost as much to rebuild my stock heads.

Got the girlfriend's Shelby thawed out and in the garage today, after the Subaru engine repair finally got finished yesterday.
Forecasting 5-8" of snow in a few days so definitely not wanting the Shelby out there for that.

Had the car running for about an hour today while I was cleaning the driveway, got in it to pull it into the garage and there was barely any heat coming from the dash.
I had left the heat on High and full-hot, so was pissed to see I might have a bad t-stat or something else wrong with the Shelby ...

But for now it's in the garage, hood up, ready for the next blower mod to take place.

Also have to do the BMR Watts links on both cars, along with getting new tires mounted and wheels installed on both cars, all before the end of March when they're both going in to the World of Wheels car show in Boston.
