I've been looking at the Siless and Kilmat lately. I'm torn on the flooring but I guess if I'm doing the roof, why not do the floor too...

Trunk and under the headliner make a day and night difference. Highly recommend to reduce sound.

You don't need to cover 100% of a panel, 40-50% is enough. The further noise reduction above 50% is not worth the effort (a friend working in the automotive industry told me) Example: You put a 10 x 12 sheet in the middle of the door and get most of the noise reduction (vibration attenuation) with it alone.

I started in my trunk and am working my way forward. The entire trunk is done, inside 1/4's, floor, etc all the way to the back of the front seats.

Made a big difference doing the trunk, keeps a lot of the exhaust noise outside the car.

Wow, how did you do that? On the trunk lid.
It was very simple. I made 2 slits right above the lamp, used an old neckband from a conference badge and made a knot behind so I can change the length if I want. The plastic part is not rock solid, but I can add a support to the lock made from wood to stabilize it if I need to.

Picked up some cams for the 3-2-1 swap into my first gen s197. Still gathering parts at this point. Hopefully I’ll actually start assembling the engine in the fall. At this point I’m focusing on an NA build with the option for boost later on. Looking to be in the 450-470 range NA. Once I drive it I’ll make a decision whether or not to go boost. I have a feeling that NA will be enough for me for a street car.

Cleaned under the hood a bit, and replaced a connector for one of the ignition coils, something that I should've done about 4-5 years ago when it initially broke, but my McGyver fix was working ok, so I slacked off on doing something about it until today

Finally had a chance to get the 2024 to the drag strip and get some passes on it. I had to run on my street tires because when I got there I discovered my drag radials from my last Mustang weren't 18", but were 17". Can't get a 17" wheel on the car because of the Brembo brakes on the Performance Package cars - the wheel hit the caliper trying to put it on because the Brembo's are wider than 17".

Took a while to figure out how to launch without a ton of wheel hop. Now to find some new wheels and drag radials, and then work on the 60' - I didn't worry about reaction time today, just trying to learn the car.

Got a dyno tune for my 2008 Mustang GT. I had a remote tune done on it after installing DOB supercharger kit. The remote tune wasn't bad, but I had a few issues with the throttle response and engine sputtering during hard cornering when autocrossing.

Nothing against the folks that perform remote tunes, but I think having live data and talking to the tuner face to face explaining the problems is a better way to do it.

Wasn't done today but over the last week or so...

Taking it on a 1400 mile trip this weekend so we'll see if it makes any difference.
