Well Lately with a new job I have been thinking about buying car parts and what not... who isn't?? I feel like I am always talking myself out of buying things. I really want to stay N/a since my car is my daily driver. But the price to power ratio isn't really there... What is the most my car will see with full bolt ons and dyno tuned? Probably 350rwhp if I am lucky right? Someone talk some sense into me! I just feel like maybe I wouldnt be very satified with that. I am not looking to build and all out drag car. Just looking for something to make wet my pants when i push the throttle!

Put a blower on it and you will be happy. All the bolt ons just dont do enough. I did nearly every one of them and finally succumbed to FI. No regrets.

Go with a sc, I have talked myself out of it for over two years. You have a job, I just lost mine two months ago. That was my latest excuse, I have enough in savings(mostly stocks) to buy what I want, but I just can't get myself to do it, and my car is going to waste.

GO FOR IT.

Isn't there someone, Travis at is it Gearheads? I think even a whipple ho kit with their supplied tune would make you happy. It won't make the most out of the unit, but it would not blow either(I haven't read any whipples blowing the bottom end on FRPP tune).

You could always run the base tune and later upgrade when ypou travel for a dyno tune.

Did you see some were having sales on the vortechs, I even saw a $250 rebate being offered from vortech or paxton.

you could always make the short drive up to houston. I'll introduce you to a good tuner.

who is a good tuner in houston???

Pat at PSI has done EVERYTHING to my car since late 04 and I wouldnt go anywhere else. That being said, there is also Strictly Performance who you will hear both wonderful and horrible feedback about.

How long do you plan on keeping your car? If you plan on upgrading to a 5.0 or something anytime soon then maybe I would recommend saving your cheese. If you plan on having your car for a long time then boost up. It's more economical to be "fast" with boost than being NA.

You can also do a remote tune with data logs. Litto and others are very good at remote tuning. I would go FI if I were you. As long as you don't go crazy with the HP it will hold up just as well as N/A and be a lot more fun to drive. If you watch the classifieds you can find some really good deals on used supercharger setups.

I just skipped the bolt-ons and went with the e-force, I drive it almost daily now because it gets better mileage than my truck.

I've drove it in heavy traffic, super cold temps, and 100 degree weather, I've had it on for about 2 1/2 years and really don't think about it being on.

Hell, I still run the canned tune that came with the kit because it runs to good to fuck with.

+1 on that. Manuel (Lito) has some satisfied customers on this site.

OP have you gotten ahold of Terry (Beefcake) for pricing? If not it's worth your while to get a quote from him.
