I keep thinking about how I need some jacking rails, but always forget about them. Decided I want to do them this winter. I wanted to buy BMR but apparently they either don't, or no longer, make jacking rails for the S197's (only huge weld in subframe braces with jacking rails built in, which I don't really want). Is Steeda the only other option out there right now? Seems to be the only other one I can find.

I have the Kenny Brown, work great, BMR and Steeda also make them. I also have the KB Matrix Brace.

Just remembered the BMR has the subframe as well, supposed to be a great unit...
KB works well for me....

Are the kenny brown rails weld-in? Looks like they are from the pictures but the site isn't very descriptive. I'd prefer bolt-in.

I have the Steedas on my Boss and my Focus RS. They make life so easy if you work on your own car and I cannot say enough good things about them!

I have the steeda jacking rails in transit.....along with their X brace. https://www.steeda.com/steeda-mustang-rear-chassis-xbrace-555-5093.html

I had previously bolted and welded in the steeda frame rail + torque box brace......which looks like giant triangle cue racks, made from CM. https://www.steeda.com/steeda-mustang-frame-rail-torque-box-brace-555-5551.html

The steeda jacking rails are now on sale, cheap, for $118.00 from steeda.com
AM would not match their price either. The steeda version are bolt in, and consist of 2" wide x 1.5" tall x aprx 54" long rectangular CM tubing. 2 x bolts at each end. I will also weld the inboard portion in a few places.

Damn, the sale is over..and it's back up to $139.95

https://www.americanmuscle.com/steeda-ultra-lite-low-profile-chassis-jacking-rails-05114.html $149.95

The above steeda jacking rails are for 05-14 cars, including any version GT / V6 / Boss with side exhaust / GT-500 etc.

I called Steeda direct and they gave me 10% off right then and there.

That's better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick...

I installed Steeda. Easiest mod ever. Bolted right in. I think it took me 60 mins max to install with the car on the ground. Works great. Now I can jack up one side of the car with the jack set in the middle. 6 pumps and both tires are in the air. Highly recommend them.

I know. I initially found the BMR ones via a google search and then realized they were '15-19 only.

Based on this thread, I bought the Saleen rails. So much easier to jack up ..... especially with a flat top floor jack. For jack stands, I think it would be tough to use standard ones with the “claw” top on them, as they would hit the painted ground effects on the car. For jack stands that are flat and padded (like a car lift), the rails are perfect.

The rails don’t sit exactly flush on the car or parallel to the pinch rails, as the part of the undercarriage they lay across isn’t flat. But, they are functional and you can’t see them from the top anyway.
