Wheel issues on 14 Roush

Hey guys and gals I am new to this site, I bought Ferrada f8 black wheels, 10's for the front 11's for the back when I was talking to the salesman he said to get a offset of 28 for the front and 50 for the back but why would I want a 28 for the front? He said I need the 50 so they don't stick out so much but then why would I want a 28 for the front if that is the case so anyway I had the wheel set on at the tire shop without a tire and they stuck out from the body about 2 to three inches and the place I bought them said if a tire was on the wheel and set down on the ground that they would be flush with the outside of the fender which I find hard to believe but I argued with the salesman over the offset, I wanted a 40 offset which would help but the car stock has 9.5 inch wheels with offset of 44 and the tires are inside the wheel well so I don't quite understand why they stick out so much, any help would be appreciated because I got 4 boxes of wheels sitting in my living room that I paid over 3 grand for

If the car is not sitting on the ground, any wheel is going to stick out. The suspension is unloaded, allowing the wheel to go into full positive camber. Get some camber plates and set in a good amount of negative camber. That will tuck the tire into the fender well. And no, it will not cause premature tire wear if toe is right.

This. However if you bought them from a shop, the shop should be responsible to correct.

+28 offset is not enough on a 10” wheel to stay inside the front fenders on that car. A 10” should have at least +35, and could be up to +45. I have 18x10” +40 Apex wheels for track use on my 12, they are a nice fit.
