if you're to upgrade from the 3650 to a 6 speed, with a 3.55 rear end and a twin screw supercharger putting down ~550rwhp on a spirited daily driver/weekend racer

which 6 speed manual transmission would you go for?
T56, T56 Magnum or TR6060?

i like that the TR6060 is easy to launch with 500lb/ft torque at 2k RPM, but it feels too mushy (which an MGW shifter would probably help with)

on the other hand the T56 Magnum solves the remote shifter issues, but info and success stories with this particular transmission is rather limited..

any comments?

T56 Magnum is the TR6060 based replacement for the T56 for placement in vehicles that did not originally come with a T56. The Terminator spec T56 has a little bit deeper 6th gear then the TR6060 (.74 vs .62) with only the Viper Spec coming with the .50 6th gear. TR6060 is the better trans stock for stock but some interesting stories of failures despite the fact that many 700 rwhp plus GT500's run the transmission.

Are you talking about the S197 Magnum? It's still not out. If you go that route keep in mind it will need a slip yoke driveline.

If you go with a 6060 or S197 magnum plan on changing your rear gears.

I went from a 3650 to a 6060 and ended up changing my 3.55's to 4.10's because of the difference in 1st and 2nd between the transmissions.

The 6060 is a big improvement over the 3650. If the S197 magnum was out when I did the swap I'd of gone with it.

i thought this is T56 magnum everyone was talking about.. i guess the S197 version isn't out yet.. oh well.

as for the gearing, i always thought 3.55:1 is quite short with the T3650 1st and 2nd gears coupled with a twin screw SC putting down and 470 ft/lb torque at 2k RPM!
