Sounds like fun. I want to go check out the Huntsville one. Maybe I will see you there!

Come on out on Sunday. It's at John Hunt Park, off of Airport Rd., near Leeman Ferry. The first event that I went to, there was only one other Mustang there besides mine. It will be good to have some more American Muscle there in the sea of Miatas, S2000s, and BMWs. If you come, I will be in the white GT/CS 'vert, number 196 NSTX.

What time is it? (although I could probably find the website and figure it out, lol)

With the exception of installing a water heater for a buddy, I have nothing else to do on Sunday.

Jesse, I saw you run in B'ham on Saturday. Your car is freaking sick, man! I was working the course when you ran. You looked great out there, and the car sounded amazing. I was gonna try to find you in the paddock, but I never could track you down. you must have been working the course when I had my "break" session. By the end of the day, I just wanted to get out of the heat and go home!

Do you run in B'ham regularly? That was my second ever autoX, and my first at Oak Mountain. I really liked that facility. The pavement was so much smoother than the place we run in Huntsville.

I may PM you about your suspension set up, because your car looked really well-behaved on course.

Sorry I didn't respond sooner. I haven't been on the forum since Friday.

There are plenty more events coming up that are in or around the north Alabama/central Tennessee area if you decide you want to try it out. They run at John Hunt Park about once every month. There are also events close by in Tullahoma, http://tlscc.tripod.com/welcome.html and Chattanooga, http://crscca.com/CRSCCA_Home.html

Or you can just go to teamtac.org and you will see a huge schedule of all the local, regional, and some national events. There are alot of really cool folks in that group and I have found them to be very welcoming and helpful to newcomers and novices.

I did my first event at the first of June, and I am totally hooked. I am still kind riding a "high" this morning from getting to do two events this past weekend!

thanks man, i was the guy running around in the neon yellow shirt, lol. i kinda wish i could have ran my hoosiers up there, i think i would have been in the top 10 (i've beat the 8th place guy in raw times at dixie nationals when i was on A6's), but i didn't want to trailer the car up from PCB. the car was pretty much spinning the rear tires everywhere, even being easy on the throttle and i was getting a lot of oversteer, especially in the top turnaround.

I don't normally run in B'ham because its 4.5 hours away from home, but i had carried my dad up so he could buy a car so i was there anyways. its the second time i have ran ALSCCA. I normally run Wiregrass region just south of Ozark, its one of the best sites in the south. all concrete and very smooth.

your car looked nice out there, it would benefit from some wider wheels and tires. you looked to be doing very well for just your second event. i love white cs/gt's.
