Long story, but here is a short version. Girlfriend wrote her car off (cheap car) in a fairly minor crash and is looking to buy a nice one with a settlement she just got. So I come along with a nice Mustang to lend her (05 GT tricked out). She has driven it before, but not much.

Add rain and going too fast into a corner and just for fun down shift from 4th to 2nd. Rear kicked out, overcorrected and car ends up on top of a concrete barrier. Estimate is approx 10k and it is being repaird.

It is at a good shop and I know the owner is a car nut. They have looked after my car before and they are great. The only good thing out of all this is I am getting a complete new side exhaust kit, my tips were getting pretty ratty, so that is nice.

No, she won't drive it again. BTW, only reason she had that instead of my 2003 F150 is I am doing renovations and need my truck for them. FML!

Pictures soon once I have some time.

Ouch! Hope she is OK.

I have my car modded to the point that my wife HATES riding in it, much less driving it!

Don't worry, she is treating me well.

She wanted to buy my car (it is for sale) but I refused to sell it to her. She actually got annoyed I wouldn't. Now she knows why and agrees she doesn't want it.

She is ok, scared her really bad actually. Her daugher and her friend were in the car and they are ok, but her daughter's back is still sore. This happened a week ago.

My wife lost interest in driving the Mustang when I had a Whipple on it. She had to step on it to get into 40mph traffic. She punched it, did a 180 in the middle of traffic and drove it home. It took her over 6 months to tell me about the "incident". Once the Whipple was removed she started to drive it again but she is afraid of the car which is fine with me.

I personally would never let my wife drive the Mustang. I would never be able to live with myself after she gets killed in it.

^^Ditto!

Or even just has a minor accident and damages the car. I'd have no one to blame but myself for letting her drive it. She drives a tuned manual Mini John Cooper Works and is a more than capable driver but a high hp rear wheel car is a whole different animal.

I feel worse for her than me, she is devastated. She learned the hard way these cars can bite back pretty quick if your not focussed and ready. She is normally ever so carefull with it oh well, I kept her cause she is not bad looking. A feisty little 5'3" ball of energy
