Mikeysgt- has the same wheels, but not the same tires. I think he runs 295/45/18, i use 285/40/18 in the rear on the 18x10 wheel. His car also sits very nice.

Mister Roper no rubbing what so ever, and if i have take of my rear wheels off and take a pic of my fenders i will to prove it.

Its a planet not far from your own called Miami Florida. Yes it is pretty flat around here though.

Dude the car does not rub, wish you were near, I would take you for a spin.

Our s197s came with rolled fenders from the factory.

Yes, but your tires are sticking out way passed the flares. Like I said earlier, I like the look, I did the same thing at one time. What's the backspace on those rims?

you can see in this pic that the tires at least the top of it slides up into the fender on dips.

I have an 07 Roush supercharged Mustang. I just put 4:10 gear set in it. I have 20" wheels and am thinking about Nitto 555 drag tires. Any suggestions? I was thinking about 255/35/20 front and 295/35/20 in back. Is Nitto the best way to go with a 20" wheel?

+1 shockwave. nice setup on your car!
i do run the 295/45/18's on the rear and the tire rubs when i have my rim/tire drag setup in the car OR when going on the freeway and hit a big dip. nothing major though and i've actually thought of going with the 40 series tire like you have.

and +1000 on the top of the tire tucking inside the fender for the most part. i see why you don't have a rubbing issue. i might sell my rear set of tires since they only have about 1400 miles on them right now and go with the same size as you.

here's a few shots of mine

mikeysgt- your car looks sick, and those 295s fill the rear nicely. Have you considered widening your wheels?? I am in between widening the rears from 18x10 to 18x12, and slapping some 345/35/18 on it, or just getting some new wheels. Maybe some ccws with the same offset i am using now but with a 18x12 wheel. I have close to three inches clearance on the inside of the wheel and tire in the rear. I am sure you have the same.

man i've thought about doing a million things with the wheels and the car altogether haha i actually thought about that the first time i slapped these on and seen how much room there was. never looked into it though. how much would something like that run?

I have asked a few shops, and the average cost is about $250 per wheel. They charge per inch, and thats for the added 2 inches. What i have heard is to go with a very reputable company and pay the extra $$$, because if the widening is done just slightly incorrectly then the wheel will never be able to get balanced.
A set of CCWs with custom sizing will run me about $2800 without tires.
