To be clear-I have no clue what Im doing but Im trying to learn so looking for some help here. Have searched, but not finding specific answers to my questions.

So- I am in the process of wiring a 9 pin din cable to the Autometer/Cobalt Wideband in order to get it to talk to my SCT II tuner for Datalogging

Wideband has the following wires:

a) Power/red- That one I get. Got the add a fuse for plugging it in.

b) Wot Switch/Brown wire- I dont have a Wot switch- So my understanding is that its best to ground this to the engine. Yes or no? If no What do I do with it?

c) Data Logger Ground/ Blue Black - Not sure if this goes to Analog 1 or Analog 2 or the Ground on the SCT.

d) Positive datalogger output/blue-Not sure if this goes to Analog 1 or Analog 2

e) Ground/black. Not sure if this simply gets grounded or uses the SCT Ground pin via the DIN cable

SCT/Din Cable has:

f) Ground/Brown (Does the Autometer wire Datalogger Ground or the Ground wire attach to this?)

g) Analog 1/ Green- Not sure what to do with it- Is it for the Positive or Negative Date logger wire?

h) Analog 2/Gray Not sure what to do with it- Is it for the Positive or Negative Date logger wire?

So if anyone could chime in even if its to tell me to back the f away from wiring because I dont know what Im doing. Please. All input welcome. And Yes VMP does have premade wires for attaching widebands to tuners, but not for the SCT II, I checked otherwise I would have gone that route.

Hook c to f and d to g

I would leave b not connected to anything. Then feed power to the wb and be sure to have a sufficient ground for it.

Analog 1 and 2 are for two different readings. IE, my analog 1 is boost and analog 2 is wideband. As you are only doing a wideband you will only use one and disregard the other.

Do you not have these instructions....

I believe you are going to have to also hook c and f to where you hook g. You need a common ground for both the wideband and the analog signal. That is how it is on my firewire cable. I have all the grounds soldered together to one lug.

His WB has an specific analog ground so I would not do a common ground, connect it as you said in the previous post, yours I think doesn't have the analog ground so the system ground is the only ground (If I am correct about yours)

^^ You are probably correct about that lito as you have more experience than me. I am not really familiar with the autometer wb, just googled their wiring diagram and used what I know from mine to figure it out.

If I were you OP, I would wire it how I explained it in my first reply then do a datalog and compare the reading to your gauge. THat is how I made sure that mine was working properly before I relied on it for tuning purposes.

Thanks! I will be picking Litos brain next on how to set up live wire and configure the voltage setting etc. Once thats done, I can send and my turbo piping get here I can install the turbo and get to datalogging.
