I had to take the Wife's Dodge Durango to work today since I had to drop my two grandkids and daughters at the Airport. Wife took the Mustang...

On the way home she got distracted and hit a Pot Hole ( More like a Sink hole)
took out two wheels....

Sure thats an option.
I was just wondering since they are 7 years old maybe I could freshen it up a bit.

But I am bias towards the one I have now

The Bullets look good on your car! I'm NOT a fan of the Razors...

Yes, I like the bullets as well.

I attended the American Muscle Carshow last sunday and I spoke with a Shelby Rep...
He Really Liked my Car and what I have done to it as a tribute to my Uncle who had a 1967 GT350
and I stared at that car every day waiting for my Uncle to come home from Vietnam,
1971 he did and I can't tell you how proud I was Cleaning up the Car, then he took us for a ride around town
I was thrilled that I was riding shotgun with my hero.

The Rep suggested that I get rims that were similar to what was on the 67..

I would try to replace with the same. They really look great on your car. Maybe lower it a bit also.

I don't know about lowering it though.. I am afraid that I may loose some 1/4 times, everyone I know who lowered their car lost time.

My best time is 12.2 @ 114 with bolt-ons, cams, headers, 4.10 gears, Locker,
5R55S with 3500 stall.

Stick with the Bullitts! You say you're broke but looking at expensive Shelby rims? BTW, the damage to two rims should be worth something "in return" from the wife!:doggy:

The Shelbys are not that much more than the Bullets...

And these are on clearance for 89.00 each.

Another issue I am running into is, should I stagger?
The reason I am shying away from staggering is that if I want to keep the tire height the same front to rear I have to go with

Code:
Front
Size Diameter	Tread /W	Rim Range	REVS
255/45ZR18 27.1" 10" 8-9.5" 773

Rear
P285/40ZR18	27" 11.4" 9.5-11" 775

This limits my choices on the brand of tire since Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar and NITTO Extreme are the only affordable tires available in 285/40 18

If I go with the stagger that is available

Code:
Front
Size Diameter	Tread /W	Rim Range	REVS
255/45ZR18	27.1" 10" 8-9.5" 773

Rear
P275/40ZR18	26.7" 10.9" 9-11" 784

there is a .4 inch diameter difference and the rear tire looks funny being 1/2 inch shorter.

So I am stuck with getting all 18X9 with 255/45 18

Screw it! Spring for some HRE's, or BBS wheels or something....it's her fault, LOL!

My wife is a elementary school Vice Principal and the Principal saw her pull up in the Mustang and freaked, He ran over and checked out the car, He said the sound of it was amazing. Now he calls her speed racer....

She said she was going to buy the rims and tires but we have been married for 30 years so it's actually "our" money so I need to be cost conscious.

But I totally understand what your saying :highfive:

I really like the Bullitts on the 05-09 cars. The retro styling of the car matches perfectly with the retro Bullitts. I never could bring myself to change out the Bullitts on my torch '06.

I understand wanting to change things up now that you have the perfect opportunity, but I don't think you can find a better looking wheel for that car.

It's weird, I really hate bullitt wheels. A lot. But they look great on your car. I say keep the same.

Now... how are we to know your wife really did do this? Maybe you did and just decided to blame it on her to make you look better?

Nah, who the fuck am I kidding. Sucks to see this but I agree the bullits look great on your car.
