I'd like to see a rear shot of some low profile 305's on a lowered car. Anyone got any pics floating around?

I don't have any but a friend of mine is running 305/35s and hates the look. Looks about the same as a stock tire/wheel combo in reference to the amount of space between the fender well and the tire.

Ok, from what I can find, a 275 tire can go on a 8 - 10.5" rim. Split the difference? Go with a 9 or 9.5" rim then?

yeah...275s on a 9in rim would prolly be perfect. BTW, like hawg, on my 18x10 rims the offset is 45mm, and the 18x9 is something like 34mm i think.

Then that sounds exactly like what I'm lookin for. I don't want to run anything taller than the stock tire height, but the shorter tires like a 295/35-18 looks a lil weird from the side because they are kinda on the short side (26in I think?)

Sometimes I also run the 275/50/17 M&H Drag Radial on 9 inch rim...and those look badass and fit perfect as well!

The 305/35s look goofy, trust me. They are only 26.4" tall

Wow... I was hoping a really fat tire would look great from behind.

I still think it'll be fine...personally I think the 305/45's look goofy, but thats differing opinions. Hawg seems like he's kind of the old school mentality with a taller tire in the back, where as I like the look of less sidewall in the rear

It has nothing to do with the look.. Again I repeat, you can't put 500 to the ground on rubber bands. You need sidewall for traction. That's why drag tires have tall sidewalls.

Oh, I know, I don't think Clay is all that worried about it since he already had 20s and is looking for sportline springs. Maybe he's checkin into 18's for DRs but I dunno....if I were gonna have a dedicated rim for DRs it be the 17s

Dropping definitely helps the look. But stock = goofy

It has everything to do with the look. Fat wheels look SICK on Cobras. And hearing you people say they look like shit on our car surprises me. That's why I wanted to see some pics. I'm not going to get traction on the street no mater what tire I run. Examples of some 305's and 315's:

Probably a 11.5 inch wheel o_O. 345's would bow out like a sumbitch on a 10" wheel.
