What is the purpose of this??

Supposedly repels rodents, also keeps the car smelling fresh. I open the box, but leave them inside.. don't think it will but want to make sure it doesnt stain anything. Some ppl use mothballs, but yuck I don't want my car smelling like that.

Must get it back out of storage on St Patty's day.

Easter actually, but I tried eggs and it failed miserably :roflmao:

Other storage things: I do not set the parking brake, don't want it to freeze. As I remove the battery, I always crack the windows slightly first, remember that without the battery they can't automatically go up/down for the window seal.

I use Irish Spring bar soap, also. Place 4-5 bars inside the car, and same with underhood. Mice do not need to be attracted to the smell of a forgotten frenchfry, they
love car interiors and will consume wire insulation, causing big damage when you hit the key. They get there by climbing up the tire, the old-school method is to slather thick grease all around the bottom 1/3 of the rubber, and for secondary deterrent, ring the grease with coarse steel wool. You think it's nuts/anal, until you have a mice-induced electric fire, like i did.

What I mean is I put some peanut butter in a mouse trap, and dispose of them that way. I once had a mouse eat the complete end off the original owners manual to my 65 Falcon that was in the glove box. Been setting traps every fall into winter ever since.

Trap good, I'd be leary of just the poison letting them make moves. Knew someone that had a mouse die in their vent, smelled awesome :chainsaw:

I give mice stuff to eat in the garage............................................ Poison bait

Yea, I put that under the hood, 'cause the irish spring is too exposed to keep it's smell very long, unlike the interior. Have caught 2 mice already in spring traps in garage.
