ok fellas, lets see if someone cant help me out here. I broke my mgw shifter and the linkage arm got bitch slapped by the driveshaft when it fell down breaking this aluminum piece I need to bolt the linkage arm to the transmission.

I need the part on my 2007 gt with the 5 speed trans that connects the shifter linkage arm thing to the transmission. there is a 13mm or 1/2" bolt holding it to a gear change shaft sticking out of the transmission. Its cast aluminum and kind of goldish colored. not looking to spend much since its such a simple little part. surely someone has a transmission or parts car just laying around haha.

the dealership cant get just the part I need without selling the whole shifter assembly. so my car is on jackstands until I get this part.

I will try and get a few pictures up. I need this part ASAP! so if anyone has it pm me or txt me at 712-310-0263 and we can make a deal! THANKS FOR LOOKING

here is a link to a parts breakdown from ford, I need the part with a bolt label 7C211 going into it. I need the bolt too actually, mine bent and I played hell removing it.

this is the shifter linkage arm that goes through the whole, the part that broke on the right end is an mgw part.

Damn sucks man. Try looking up an old thread by a guy with the same problem and asking him how he went about it he fixed it in a matter of days!!!

Well I have one but unfortunately it's on a functional transmission. Can't pull it off unless I was willing to junk the trans because I can't very well use or sell the trans without it.

Sucks that Ford won't sell that part separate. I had to buy the entire shifter assembly, at more than $300 from my local stealership when I broke the bolt on mine. Hopefully someone can dig one up for you.

I hope so too...I will wait until I find one, I refuse to pay the dealership that much for a stock shifter assembly im going to throw aside and take a bolt and small part out of it pretty much

none of the scrap yards around here have cars new enough...and the one that did had an 05 v6 auto. I sent an email to MPS auto salvage in statham, ga. they are a mustang bone yard. hopefully they can help me out

Have you tried any of the big transmission shops? There's a few shops known online for building up transmissions. I'm sure most of them would have tons of dead carcasses.

no but that's a good idea, I called jim at JDM since I saw his for sale add of a 3650 a while back. figured he might have something laying around. I really never would have though this part would be so hard to get without buying a whole shifter assembly from the dealership. its pretty annoying. I wanted to get the car out this weekend but its still on jackstands

Its back and go in with the old part now...just bought a new one yesterday because I don't wanna have to worry about using a jacked up part. Got the shifter back yesterday too and its a lot better with a newer version base that the actual shifter is in and other great parts. Feels like it will shift even bettrr
