Just when everyone thought Matt D was out of the game.... bam! Im back :thumb2:

I havn't done anything to my ride since last season. I was going to start this build thread when I had all the parts and most of the work was done.... but I enjoy sharing the build with you guys and will keep updating this thread. The goal is to still run 11's on a stock long block.... but I want to run consistant 11's first day out in warm weather... no mineshaft air, no gimmicks just flat out rock the car with my new set up. As soon as I hit the 11's im going to try and get a head, cam combo going and do that half way through the season.

Current goals-

knock another 80-100 lbs out of the car
run 11's stock long block
Have the car ready for nmra spring break shoot out.

Here we go....

When I bought the car I hated the beige interior... I always had my mind set that I would switch to a black interior... The oem parts are very expensive and not as easy to come across like the old fox bodies. I sourced out my first bit of black interior parts.

Time to start taking out the good's

Props to you for putting taking all that apart and putting it back together, I sure could not without the Ford Service manual and/or a lot of help. :thud:

Can't wait to see what other tricks you have up your sleeves. Just remember, once you go black, you never go back! Ha! Glad to see the interior swap as it looks much better!

Good luck hitting 11's! gotta love the black interior. If youy dont mind me asking, does the center console have to come out to get to the radio?

Yeah pull the thick tan carpet and get some super thin black carpet and remove all the jewt underneath that should knock off 5-10 lbs.
