I'll be waiting until more people get these installed and there are more available, but I am so excited from the pictures and Jarrod's input!
It took me awhile to figure out what NVH meant also... I can't keep up with all these stupid acronyms. haha

lol.. If you work in the auto industry, you know that term instantly. :)

MGW called me today and asked if I wanted to get a shifter. Enough people backed out. Damn! Decisions decisions.

She said he wants to ship by the end of the week.

Just got the call as well! Ordered....now just gotta wait 5 months to install.

That's what's holding me up. Being a first run buyer helps the guy in no way if I don't install it. He needs feedback to finalize the components and go mass production.

The MGW will be a little trickier as it replaces the whole shifter bowl. I've been under there when I replaced my stock fluid with Redline. Can't really see a spot to wrestle the shifter out without dropping the driveshaft. I guess we'll see as I'm one of the 50.

ITS ACTUALLY VERY EASY....NO NEED TO DROP OUT ANYTHING. THE TOP HALF OF THE SHIFTER COMES OFF REMEMBER AND THE BACK BRACKET SO THE BOWL OR LOWER BASE IS THE ONLY THING LEFT AND ITS ONLY HELD IN PLACE BY THE 4 BOLTS ON THE SWING ARM MOUNT. THEN JUST LIFT OUT THRU THE TOP

oops sorry i wasnt looking up when typing ...sorry bout the caps....

and guys i RARELY get REALLLLYYYYYYY excited about a shifter design but i am really proud of the acheivements of this model.

i took alot of time getting it right and i think those that did back out ( we had 11 people) out of the 50 are gonna regret it big time...but they can always get one later

Hey George,
Sorry for the probably stupid question... But is there a course of action if the early adopters find an issue with the shifter? Do we report it back to you and/or send you the shifter back and get a replacement when the issue is sorted out? Like normal warranty type procedure.

Sorry, just trying to get a better feel for the first 50 process.

If the install is as easy as you say (and instructions are included with torque specs, etc :lol2:), this all may help me convince myself to call back and try to get Julie to process an order for me.

You guys need to hurry and test it out so I can get my hands on one! If these are as great as everyone says (this is my first manual car) then its going to improve the car a ton.

That's good to hear, I wasn't worried even if I had to drop the shaft as it's flanged anyways. And I'm glad you weren't "yelling" at me lol.

Do you have any tester openings from the 11 that backed out? I've been waiting a LONG time for this shifter to come out!

Call them up Tom. You may be able to be one of the testers.

Thanks Nick. Will have to wait till Monday now though. Unless they're open on Saturdays. I'll try it here in a bit. I probably don't have enough $$$ to do it anyway, but would be nice if I did. Hmmmm.....credit card......wife pissed.....credit card......shifter.....wife pis.....shifter...
