Waiver or no waiver, that dyno operator/owner would be paying to fix my car if that happened to mine. Part of the responsibility of owning the machine and selling the service is properly securing the vehicle on the machine. And it's not like that POS ricer overpowered the dyno or anything.

Defiantly was strapped down incorrectly. And pos of ricer? Really? Have you ever raced a bolt- on evo? Those fuckers make the same amount of power you do with intake exhaust and tune.

evos are deffinatly not rice. simple bolt ons and they make crazy power. my buddy is seeing over 420awhp on a stock turbo with cams, exhaust, intake, and e85 running almost 11 seconds flat

Sorry, I don't pay attention to imports. From the tail lights it looks like an old Dodge econobox and from the huge wing it looks like a ricer. So is this the car that all the ricers are emulating?

My sentiments, also. Big power, for how long? Where are all the older ones at?

EVO's have only been in the US since 2008. "Older" ones aren't very old yet. But I agree.

Two engines... 400hp + at the wheels... one is a 4.6 V8... the other a 2.0 I4... which do you think is living under greater stress and more likely to fail do to said stresses? Hint... it's not the V8.

The big power I4's are cool but I'm not sold on longevity.

I love how some mustang owners are so misinformed about imports...
As a car enthusiast it is little embarassing.

You are so wrong on that lol. Evo's have been in the states since the Evo VII (i believe).

They are ok cars. if you beat him out the hole, you can take pretty much any one you'll see on hte street. The 800hp cars that run on e85 are few and far between.

And yea, they aren't very reliable...

Agreed. I can't tell you how many young warrant officers I've seen at Fort Rucker with $15-$20k dumped into their WRX's, Evo's and so on that have blown engines just from staying on the limiter for one second too long. And they were only on it for three seconds!

I would much rather have a 5.0L GT with a blower on it than an Evo that has had the shit worked out of it by increased turbo PSI. The newer Evo MR's are awesome cars though. I wouldn't spend that much on a hopped up econobox, but the styling, power and capabilities of these cars is hard to deny. Especially with the aggressive look they have. I simply LOVE this car:

Still, before I'd put that kind of money into a 4-door, I'd buy a 5.0L Mustang GT. Oh, wait. That's just what I did! :thumb:
