put the new power steering pump in, only to find that the pulley wont sit flush, and the tool to push the pulley on breaks in the pump. new power steering pump then came out, FML lol

After seeing and hearing about all the things that can break at the track, I have made it a habit to always make sure I have enough cash on hand to pay for a tow truck to get the car home from the track if necessary.

This happened on the first pass. I was racing in a .500 pro tree class. I had the engine at 4500 RPM's on the two step, dropped the clutch and BANG. The car never moved out of the staging beams.

I sent the driveshaft builder pics. Ya gotta love AAA.

Ok long read but you get why Im upset.

Noticed a small fuel leak on my return line by the fire wall. Fuel line had a small pinhole. So I go to Lethals website just to make sure I bought the correct lines. On the website the kit says a -8 return line so I bought 20ft
of black xrp line, and 2 new hose end fittings a 90* and straight hose end -8.
I put the car on jack stands and got the damaged line off when I noticed the damn thing was a -6 return. I was shocked . I dont know why it was a -6, I must have never noticed it when I 1st got the kit . Then again I had probably the 1st kit from lethal so not sure if the kit was updated later .
Anyway that wasn't the big f*&^ up .
After getting everything finished up turned the key and the new hose was defected and had a pinhole in it leaking around the firewall again. I could see a small mist of fuel spraying.
WTF I was so pissed. Tomorrow Im going to have to cut and replace the section to the reg .

I pulled my front cover again. This is the third time since building this motor. I've had a small oil leak since day one. The block was used and the bonehead I bought it from cleaned the sealing surfaces with a power tool. This time I sealed all of the block mating surfaces with ultra grey. Verified squeeze out and did a retorque after 15 minutes. If this doesn't take care of it I'll probably start over with a big bore block.
