I'm running 17in ET street drag radials best launch I've had a is 2.0 60'. I've been lauching anywhere from 1800 to 2000 rpm. I did a second gear burnout the last time launched at 2000 and just smoked them on the start.

Best run with a 2.0 60' was [email protected]

Need more info bro. How long are you doing the burnout for and what tire pressure are you running?

I have ET streets which I believe is a stickier tire, 30 psi, 2nd gear burnout till smokey, launch off idle. Best 60ft 1.86 Stock convertor doesnt hold much rpms so I dont even bother.

30 psi on ET Streets..wow!
I was running 18-20 lbs. on my 26x11.5x17's ET Street's pulling 1.8's. On a bad track prep night I would drop it to 14-16 lbs and still was keeping the 1.8's all night.
It would take a lot to heat them up on the first couple of passes. After a good 10 sec. burnout they were good the rest of the night with just a brush off burnout on the rest of the passes.

Hey guys, I was home and sleep when you starting replying.

I had 8 runs. 5 were 2.0. The others were a 2.1, 2.2, and 2.5

Last 6 runs were long, smokey, and in 2nd gear. I tried launching anywhere from 1600-2000, never tried off idle. Around 2k, I would spin them bad off the line. Lower and it would bog.

First 2 runs, (2.1 & 2.0), I had 17# in the tires. Last 6 I had 15#. The tires are right at the wear bars. I got them used.

Okay. So foot hard on brake. Other foot on gas, only 2krpm. When its time to launch don't floor it?

I let it roll out about 20ft, then slam on it. Thats how I was getting 1.6's NA

Alright, so next time I go I'll give these things a try.

Going off idle.
Rolling into the throttle in the first 20ft.

Anything else?

With stock convertor 1.8s will be about your best. I run 275/40/17 MT DRs I run 13 psi in them ( more and I spin out of the hole some and a little on the 1-2 shift. I hold the brake just enough to keep it staged. On the third amber ( on a sportsman tree) I go WOT off idle. Car is consistent mid 1.8s to low 1.9s. I also have a Boss intake ( hurting me out of the hole) CAI, tune, 3.15 gear. I cross the stripe at 7200 in 3rd. I shift at 7500.

Do you run tubes in the et streets?

ET Street Radials do not require tubes. The Regular ET Street which is a DOT Bias Ply, can run with or without tubes. The ET Drag is the same way cept its not DOT.

I didnt ask if they require them, some people like to run tubes because you can run a lower tire pressure. If he was running tubes i was gonna suggest running a lower psi.

I wasn't sure who you were asking. I don't run tubes.
