Broken ac vent trim ring, replacement source?

Broke this thing today trying to remove it. There was superglue on the bottom edge of the grey outer part, and it wouldn't pull out cleanly, it just exploded. The area I need to replace is circled in red. The rest of it is fine.

I looked on late model restoration but didn't see a replacement for the outer grey part. Does anyone have a source? It would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone have this piece from a parts car? Don't want to spend $120 on this dumb plastic component.

Nah just the barrel assembly. I need the piece that it goes into. I have a feeling I'll end up shelling $40 on ebay to get the center piece and then carefully extracting the grey plastic circled in the OP so I don't have to remove the whole dash.

yep satin is the color I guess, its like a greyish. I need the part that is circled, not the ring but the area that sits behind it and hold the vent pod. If thats what you have, I may be interested. I ordered a replacement dash section and I will try to "surgically" remove the grey plastic part and put it on my dash. It should be removable but its made of the most brittle plastic ever and there was superglue on my original one. If this solution doesn't work, I will definitely need another set.

So I cut another grey circle out of a spare center dash section I bought off ebay using a dremel and a cutting wheel. The back of the grey tabs are melted into the black plastic of the dash and therefore do not come out without cutting the melted area off. I cleaned up the tabs and it slides into my dash nicely, though after test fitting it I am kind of scared to remove it should it explode again. I will put a bit of jbweld on it to compensate for having removed the fins on a few tabs.

cliffs: Its not simple to transfer the circles from one dash section to another.
